Oh My G** I won …
I won NaNoWriMo, I did it. 50,000 words in a month. On Thanksgiving morning as I get ready for a very full day of family, food and fun, I am doubly happy.
What did I win? Good question, I won this. I won a banner for my blog. I won laurels on my profile on the Nanowrimo website. I won sitting down for twenty seven days straight and writing every single day. I won bringing my iPad on car trips and to hair appointments. I brought it to dr’s offices. I broke a keyboard and had to replace it in a flash.
On my best day I wrote 4,608 words and on my worst day I wrote 124. All those other days though, I wrote for every single one of them.
I am halfway through this story. Amazing new characters have joined Taylor. People I am proud to have written. Some horrible things have happened. Her life is not like ours, her life is filled with turmoil and yet she goes on. I have crested the hill on her story and now we are heading toward the finish.
I was part of a few regional groups but there were two that I really connected with. We are hopefully going to stay in touch and keep on writing because these 50,000 words are the tip of the iceberg when it comes to this journey. Someone’s going to have to fix all my typos, you know who you are.
Happy Thanksgiving, Happy Holidays and Happy Nanowrimo.
I’ve got to go cook a Turducken, I’ll let you all know how that goes.
Comment below if you participated in Nana, have a great story you want to write or just want to say hi!
Congratulations Missy, I knew you could do it. I wish you the best on the next 50,000 words and hope that all goes according to plan. I’m looking forward to reading the next book.

Thank you!
