My Only Sunshine – 40 Days Since Launch
It’s been 40 days since the books launch … so here’s an update of what’s been happening. Of those 40 days only 5, yes 5 have had 0 book sales. Which means for 35 days there have been book sales! Amazing! We have sold 123 paperback and ebooks, plus 7,752 pages have been read through kindle unlimited which is roughly 20 or so books. Books have been sold or pages read in 5 countries other than the United States. On the best day of ranking on Amazon we were 35th in ebook survival stories for young women. There are 34 reviews on Amazon and the star rating is 5!
On Goodreads, 578 people have added the book to a book shelf. 524 have added to their “to read” shelf and 9 people are currently reading it. It has received 23 ratings and 15 reviews, current rating is 4.22 …. half of those ratings, actually more than half come from people I don’t know. And you know what 1 person gave it a 2 star rating. I could be upset by that or I could choose to marvel at the fact that someone I don’t know, bought the book and didn’t like it. That is going to happen and I’m still pretty stoked that people who I have absolutely no connection to whatsoever are reading my book!
These numbers of course do not include books I have donated to people, libraries or sold on my own. This is as much your accomplishment as mine for none of this would happen without you! 500 is the big number, 500 is made it and I think we can do it. I think by the end of the year, 6 months from now, we could have sold 500 copies. Built in anticipation for Part 2.
