Could you, Would you …
Be able to write during the pandemic? I apparently can not … I was on a really good streak and making a lot of progress and then my world came to a grinding halt, literally.
Everything has been cancelled, I haven’t left my house except to go on walks in five days. My children, don’t have school for three weeks. The only time in history I actually made a hair appointment and was going to keep it …. the plague comes to town. I feel like that’s an omen to not make hair appointments.
As we settle into a homeschooling, never leaving, my husband is living in the basement, out of an abundance of caution, routine. I’m going to get back at it.
What are you doing to keep your work actually going in the midst of all this chaos? My kids are getting an unprecedented amount of screen time. We are starting and ending our homeschooling routine with exercise and then dance parties. On the nice days we are going to go for hikes. I guess I will write when I can and not focus on what I can’t control.
States have begun to consider shutting schools down for the remainder of the year. Kansas just did it and California is alluding to the possibility. Lord help us all if my children have to be taught by me for the remainder of the school year ….
We will get through this, together, with toilet paper, I hope. Keep working, writing, thinking and dreaming. I’ll get my act together and at least get my blog posts going again, since that at least can be done in the wee hours of the morning.
